The Lowdown
The Festival
The Festival will be held on Saturday 30th January 2021, Sunday 31st January 2021 in central Tauranga. The Battle of the BBQs is about bringing Kiwis together for the BBQ cook off of the year! The Battle of the BBQs brings teams together from all over NZ to battle it out over two days for the title of Master of the Grill Tauranga.
We will also be showcasing some of New Zealand’s yummiest cuisine and beverages.
Entertainment
There will be entertainment galore with local and national musicians. With great fun, family friendly entertainment throughout the day and for you car buffs we even have a classic car and hot rod show.

The Competition
Watch the excitement of Amateur BBQ cooks in teams of up to 4 people, complete against 20 plus other teams to go head to head over the two day cook out to compete of the year. NZBA sanctioned event where all points accredited from this event go into the national ranking for the teams. Win a share of a massive prize pool of $10,000 in cash and prizes.
